مدى إسهام المؤتمرات العلمية التي تنظمها الجامعات الفلسطينية في صنع السياسات العامة للوزارات الفلسطينية

This study aimed to find out the extent of the scientific conferences contribution which are organized by the Palestinian universities in the policymaking by the Palestinian ministries as well as to figure out the obstacles that limit the adoption of those recommendations in public policy.

The population of the study consisted of upper level of management employees of certain ministries in Ramallah city the total respondents were (47) employees and descriptive analytic approach was implemented.

Results of the study showed that the responses of the sample were moderate on three domains: the Ministry's participation in the conference the role of universities in the making of public policy and finally the role of scientific conferences in making of those policies.

The findings concerning the obstacles that limit the application of scientific conferences recommendations were moderate and were high on the recommendations obstacles; the following were the most important recommendations: 1.

Universities must coordinate and consulate with the concerned ministries regarding the titles and topics of the conferences so that those conferences can meet the needs of the ministries and the community in general 2.

The necessity of the formation committees such as preparatory and scientific committees of conference to be shared between the university which organized the conference and the concerned ministry in order to monitor the implementation of the recommendations on the ground
