دراسة فاعلية المبيد الكيميائي Amitraz و المبيد الاحيائي Abamectin في مكافحة الحلم ذو البقعتين Acari : Tetranychidae)‎)‎Tetranychus urticae (KOCH)‎ على نبات الخروع مختبريا و حقليا

Two spotted spider mite Tetranychus urticae (Koch) (Acari:Tetranychidae) is economic pest in Iraq that affects a lot of crops , vegetables , citrus and other plants which could be up to more than a 60 host plant.

This study carried out in one orchard in the AL-Husseiniya near the city of Karbala for the period from 1/7/2012 until 30/9/2012 to valuated on reducing the damage caused by movable stage for this pest hosted on Castor trees on field condition as well as under laboratory condition.

The results, shows that the highest rate of population density is 23.29 individual/disk diameter of 2 cm/paper plant / tree in the first week of July.

It seems that this high rated related to high and low temperature and relative humidity as well as studied.

The laboratory results, indicated that development time for this pest from egg to adult stage under 30±3ºC and relative humidity 50-60 % were as follows ( 2.4 , 3.1 , 3.3 ,3.2 and 12.2) days for mite stage egg , larva , first and second nymph , egg- adult , respectively.

It was noted also that there is difference to the number of mortality individuals per day after pesticide spraying directly under laboratory conditions was (2.80 , 2.87) individual 0/ disk diameter of 2 cm / paper plant, when treated indirect was ( 2.78 ,2.73 ) individual / disk diameter of 2 cm / paper plant , for Amitraz and Abamectin, respectively under laboratory conditions.

Where this rate of mortality was 22.3 , 19.38 individual/disk diameter of 2 cm/paper plant /tree , for Amitraz and Abamectin, respectively, when treated directly in the fields.

According to the shown percentage of the efficiency.

we may recommend to use the biological pesticide (Abamectin) to control this type of mites.
