Tests and measurements are one of the scientific methods with which to detect the talented woman athletes and to select the best distinguished peewee players with a high level of special physical capacity in the game.

The event of the long jump in athletics is one of the individual games and competitive games, as well as the measurement methods with localized high are adopted in it.

It relies on the achievement of maximum achievements at the level of public and private physical capacities mainly.

The research aims to: 1.

Identify the level of physical abilities to choose the peewee players, aged (11) years, for the event of the long jump in athletics.

2.

Identify standard levels of physical abilities to choose peewee players, aged (11) years, for the event of the long jump in athletics.

The researchers used the descriptive approach with the survey method due to its suitability to the nature of the problem and to achieve the goals of the research.

The research population was selected intentionally, and the research sample was selected randomly, which included a fifth-grade students of primary schools in the district of Baquba center / Diyala province, who were 157 students aged (11 years) distributed on five elementary schools that were chosen by lot.

The research instruments were physical abilities tests under discussion.

The researchers used statistical Pouch (SPSS) to deal with the results obtained by the researchers using the following statistical methods: - (Mean, median, standard deviation, Pearson Correlation, P-value, and T-value).

In the light of the results, the researchers came to the following conclusions: 1.

In all physical abilities tests, the results of most of the research sample were below the level (good) and between levels (average, acceptable).

The largest proportion of respondents in the tests (speed and explosive power of the two legs) was limited within the level (acceptable), followed by level (average), while the tests of (flexibility and explosive power of speed) is confined with the sample results within the Level (average), followed by the level (weak) .

The research sample achieved an appropriate percentage in tests (speed - the explosive power of the two legs) within Level of (Very good) and the percentage of the results of the research sample close in all tests within the level (good).
