A simple, accurate and sensitive spectrophotometric method has been developed for the determination of LisinoprileDihrdrate (Lis) in pharmaceutical preparations.

The developed procedure is based on addition of a measured excess of sodium periodate (NaIO4) in acidic medium followed by determination of unreacted (NaIO4) by reacting with a fixed amount of methyl orange and measuring the absorbance at 504 nm.

The method obeys Beer s Law in concentration range of 2.0-20 g.ml-1 .

The results of analysis were validated by recovery studies .

The recovery and RSD values was ( 99.779-100.175 % ) and (0.0077-0.2111 %) respectively , and , Sandel Index , LOQ , and LOD values was 2.1147x104L.mol-1.cm-1 , 0.0208μg.cm-2, 0.0128 μg.ml-1and0.0038 μg.ml-1respectively .
