The research aimed to study the patriotism in the poetry of Al Nasser and to explain his views on the events surrounding his homeland during the colonial era.

At one time، he calls for revolution and in another time calls for renouncing disputes.

He boldly keeps pace with the march of the country towards progress and advancement.

This study based on the assumption that the patriotic and the revolutionary poetry of Al Nasser Grib Allah has constituted an important deal of his poetry clarifying his most prominent views on the national issues of his time.

Through analytical and descriptive approaches the researchers have reached the meanings of the patriotism in the poetry of Al Nasser.

As a whole، the patriotic poetry of Al Nasser revolved around three overlapping circles which، hardly come out of its diameter except only on very few occasions.

These circles are namely: Sudan and its essence, Arabism and Islam.
