التشخيص المظهري و الجزيئي لبعض أنواع الفطر Alternaria المعزولة من بيئات مختلفة في محافظة البصرة

Isolation and identification of 8 fungal species belong to the genus Alternaria from different sources (plant,air and soil) in Basrah were carried out .

The species include Alternaria alternate (isolate 1 and 2 ,A.chlamydospora ,A.

citri , A.raphani ,A.

longipes ,A.

infectoria ,A.tenuissima and A.

chrysanthemi were identified.

Acomparison of the morphological identification by light microscopy with the scaning electron microscopy (SEM) revealed that a distinct variation based on the conidial wall ornamintation was observed by SEM.

The molecular analysis using ITS 1 and ITS 2 showed that the bands appeared at the locus 700 pb .Nevertheless,there was a matching between the molecular identification and the morphological identification of some species of Alternaria namely (A.alternata , A.chlamydospora, A.longipes ,A.tenuissima and A.infectoria).

However ,A.citri was confirmed as A.alternata ,A.

raphani as A.infectoria while A.chrysanthemi is belong to A.lolii.
