This article provides an overview of China’s economic growth miracle and its success to rise China as world economic power over past three decades.

This study has two focuses : First, it identifies the key sources of economic growth in China .the second focus is to explain how China succeeded in sustaining high growth over three decades.

Based on growth accounting exercises , the Chinese economic model is characterized by sustained high growth driven by intensive capital accumulation and sustained reasonable TFP growth.

Furthermore, four factors are broadly considered to be the key determinants of China’s phenomenal growth performance : (1) Economic Reform Policies ; (2) Government Commitment and the Chinese-Style Reform ; (3) Integration into the Global Economy ; and (4) Industrial Upgrading and Technological Innovation.
