This study aimed to investigate the degree of life satisfaction among a sample of wives of Palestinian prisoners in Hebron district.

A sample of (131) prisoners' wives was chosen to respond to a 30 item questionnaire of life satisfaction.

Both reliability and validity of the questionnaires were ensured in the Palestinian environment.

The findings of the study showed medium degrees of satisfaction of life perceived by the wives of prisoners in Hebron district.

Regarding the variable of wives' employment, there were differences in the degrees of life satisfaction due to employment for the benefit of working women.

In addition, there were differences in the degrees of life satisfaction due to the number of children in favor of larger number of children in the family.

Furthermore, there were differences in life satisfaction due to the wives qualifications in favor of bachelor's category, as well as there were differences in life satisfaction due to the income average in favor of higher-income families.

Finally, there were differences in the degrees of life satisfaction due to the years-of imprisonment in favor of wives of prisoners who have less than five years or more than ten years of imprisonment.

The study put forward a set of recommendations emerging from its findings.
