الملخص الإنجليزي

This paper focuses on studying the architectural panorama in Gaza strip where residential buildings account for 75.6 % of the total number of buildings in the area, which makes it the main element in the architectural façade of Gaza strip.

Unfortunately, that façade is poor and dull due to many reasons discussed in this paper.

The main aim of the paper is to find out how the use of computer architectural and graphic design applications can improve the external architectural view of residential buildings.

The residential buildings subjected to the study are separate housing units located in zones (B) and (C) on the residential zone according to the zoning map.

The study analyzes the current status of the buildings and the way their owners feel about their homes through questionnaire that measures the awareness of the owners and asks technical questions about the process of designing and executing their homes.

The study finally reaches the conclusion that it is every one's responsibility, specially architects, to improve the way our buildings look and increase the awareness of the importance of the external architectural view of our country because it's our façade to the world, and it can be easily achieved by using computer application which gives infinite possibilities and saves time, labor, money and provide a better quality of work.
