The Gaza strip has started to arrest the attention of all regional and international powers after the superiority of Hamas attaining the overwhelming majority in the Palestinian Legislative Elections of 2006 ; also after the Palestinian internal schizm, which took place in the year after.

The regional standpoints about the three Israeli aggressions against the Gaza strip between 2008 and 2014 were different: from condemnation and absolute discrepancy on the one hand to discretion and abandonment on the other.

At the time we observed –on the official and popular levels -the Turkish condemnation and rejection of these three aggressions together with the very strong and decisive language of the Turkish government, we also noticed –on the Egyptian popular level-three discrepant standpoints on.

During the 2008 aggression, the Egyptian government found it more than enough to condemn the aggression in the media, declaring the responsibility of Hamas for the escalation, which led to the breakout of the aggression, whereas the Egyptian popular standpoint was totally against the aggression as seen in the non-stop anti-war demonstrations.

During the 2012 aggression, the Egyptian official standpoint was more progressive and more distinctive through not only condemnation and rejection but through acts, measures and procedures that were stricter, stronger and more decisive against the state of occupation, Israel.

The popular standpoint of Egypt in the 2012 aggression did not differ from that in 2008; but in 2014 aggression, the Egyptian standpoint was- on the official and popular levels -not only far below mediocre, but also it was worse than that when it became closer to collusion as the Egyptian government considered the Palestinian Resistance Factions responsible for the breakout of the aggression on the one hand and on the other released the cease–fire initiative which responded to the Israeli conditions but had no response, in any of its terms or items, to any of the military achievements of resistance.
