This research aims to trace the term (tongue) in the Qur'an, both in terms of recycled or meaning and significance, and through the efforts of linguists and dictionaries owners and interpreters of the Koran.

The purpose of all this is to stand on the significance of this term in the old Arab heritage, and that saved us a lot of it Qur'an, we are still used to a lot of it in cash or linguistic or literary’ works.

We impose the absence of the term (language) prevailing on the Koran, caution in dealing with the sense of the term (tongue), who hired him to signify it is in the position of it, the multiplicity’ of linguistic meanings of the tongue, may confuse the interpreters and linguists they are trying to distinguish between different this term, which is distributed among the many meanings of Quranic verses, and also different contexts.

We will try through this research, monitoring those efforts and the efforts followed, to stand on the connotations or meanings that stood out, and the differences in the interpretation of which is in turn based on the linguistic effects (text) that preceded the revelation of the Qur'an, to take advantage in the last minute of the scientific methodology’ pursued by veterans in their work that, which enabled them to have access to those results which relaxes her linguistics lesson in all its branches and types.
