The study aimed to know about the project of Khartoum state for vocational training and its importance in the development of the social and economical and the obstacles which encounter it.

The researcher used the descriptive approach considening it as appropriate for this study, the population of the study were the trainers of general electricity department and they were (30) trainers.

The researcher used all of them as a purposeful sample of the study , and the sample students of vocational training who were chosen randomly and theywere (60) students, and the director of vocational training administration and 3 directors of four centers and (3) from thelabour market, To analyze the data the researcher used the percentage the mean, the standard deviation, Chi square and the simple difference and also F test.

The researcher attained the following results, The project didn’t achieve the requiredgoals because the project faced financial, administrative and technological obstacles.

The researcher recommended the, The intended minsters should support the project adequately, The vocational training should be highly cared and the trainer should have a chance to have a field training in the labour market.

This should be a condition to attain the merit certificate.
