The growth of news content availability through digital media outlets, es-pecially via social media platforms, is the key driver of the shift in user behavior towards a phenomenon of interactive news consumption.

This paper assesses the adoption and success of digital news consumption amongst the Arab youth via mobile platforms and the effects of this shift in user behavior.

The research is based on a descriptive analysis of the results from a field survey of a sample of 436 Arab youth internet users throughout the Middle East and North Africa.

The study relied on several theories in-cluding the Second level of diffusion of innovation as well as Technology Acceptance Model.

Through these theories the paper suggest an Inte-grated psychological, sociological and Technological Model to analyzes the effects several variables that affect digital news consumption.

The results of the study indicate the high adoption of news consumption through mobile platforms for the majority of the Arab youth sample.

In addition, the findings indicate the widespread interactivity in digital news consumption which occurs through posting, sharing, commenting and tagging specific individuals of interest to start a discussion around the news content.
