Quantity analysis is considered as one the most important characteristics of transporting in general, and the urban transporting in particular especially on the level of exhibiting the traffic movement directions and rates in the cities of which the holy city of Karbala is one as the spatial image in perfected in all streets.

So the Quantity analysis represents an exact standard by which the transporting and traffic system, as well as the traffic movement, are evaluated.

The quantity analysis had been adopted to study the rates of the traffic movements: daily, weekly and seasonally as well as the traffic movement of the commodities vehicles as the city has a religious status that results in different kinds and directions of traffic movements.

The field study had been conducted in eight main streets in the city by following the density style to show the traffic movement rates on the level of meter per an hour in addition to some other styles that gave exact data to deduce the streets' traffic movement rates.
