The present study aims to shed light on the industrial sector of Algeria and high light the most important issues facing it, and this has led to a lack of development and evolution for a long time; and despite efforts made by the State to boost it, it remains suffering at different levels.

Algeria, like other developing countries has bet on this sector in order to achieve a rapid economic growth based on a diversified audience of industrial activity ; however the reality of the industry today, gives hardly a positive impression regarding the achievement of expected paths and goals.

Algeria has experienced a number of reforms which have reflected directly and negatively on the level of economic growth.

These reforms have targeted structural adjustment of the economy to rebalance it to its normal level - and side effects were all to the detriment of the industrial sector that has lost more than half of its productive capacity-and adoption of the strategy of external growth means betting on foreign and private investment which are based in particular on oil industry, where betting on the Algerian industry has become a strategic choice to reach international markets, in particular, and the new world economic order in general, and this represents a major challenge for Algerian industry , that must adapt itself to rapid and successive changes in its environment , rehabilitating order to improve its position in the context of a competitive economy and rehabilitating its administrative environment and its human resources components while further supporting infrastructure and increased funding for research and development and other economic policies followed are more necessary.
