This research work sets off from the hypothesis that the critical discourse is based on binary opposite structures, examining the presence of these oppositional reciprocity in critical trends such as Structuralism, Deconstruction, New Historicism and other, as well as the philosophical basis that resulted from these critical trends.

To achieve this end, the research proceeds according to the following plan: - The opposite structures: significance and terminology Romanticism and the encounter between the self and the world- - Marxism and the interrelation between the inside and the outside - Structuralism and the opposition of small structures - New Historicism and the opposition between the two patterns of the apparent and implicit - Deconstruction and the encounter between the presence and absence - Arab critical discourse and the opposite structure
