The study aims at investigating to which extent oil surplus was used in achieving economic diversification as mean of sustainable economic growth in United Arab Emirates.

Through taking advantage of unifying the seven Emirates and many other factors which led to forecasting the ability of United Arab Emirates to achieve economic growth.

The study used Herfindal hershman, jenni indicators to measure economic diversification through the period of 1975- 2004.

The findings of the study indicated that United Arab Emirates was able to diversify its economy through this period rather than relying only on oil revenues.

The gradual reduction in helrfindal an jenni indicators means that United Arab Emirates succeeded in diversifying its economic base.

This is an indicator for getting on the road of sustainable economic growth which ensure the social welfare for the future generations.

The study found that economic diversification has a positive effect with statistical significance on GDP and non-oil GDP.

This may be an indicator for a unique model found in United Arab Emirates which reflects the ability to use the oil revenues in achieving economic diversification.

The study made several recommendations mainly continuation of economic diversification by supporting new productive sectors such as financial, petrochemical, tourism and industrial sectors.

Finally, the study mentioned its limitation and identified several avenues for future research.
