Praise be to God alone and prayers and peace be upon the Prophet Mohammad، This study looking at: "The role of preventive measures in achieving security and crime prevention in the Muslim community".

Accordingly، this study has included the introduction of these following elements : the problem of the study، the importance of the study، the questions that will answered by the study، the study objectives، and finally، the methodology used in order to understand the problem of the study and subject matter.

The first chapter of this study is looking in: the criminalization policy and punishment in jurisprudence and the law، by introducing two axes، first axis to discuss: the concept of criminality in the Islamic penal legislation which laid important rules in making the criminal protection on a range of interests، and the values and principles that Sharee'ais operating to save considering its importance in maintaining entity of society، and in the second axis showed the nature of the punishment in the law through the statement of the concept of punishment and its elements and characteristics.

Chapter II from this study dealt with، the role of preventive measures in maintaining security، crime prevention through a search of alternative punishment and preventive measures law، through three main axes .

first axis talks about the general rules of preventive measures with the development of thought punitive at the current time، also the second axis addressed the nature of preventive measures، as for the last axis of this chapter، it discussed the preventive measures in the Islamic criminal legislation، and the statement of its concept، and the kinds of measures that that were used by the Islamic law in order to prevent the citizen from committing a crime، and finally with the conclusion of this study، which showed the findings and recommendations، which concluded it.
