The relationship uniting Morocco and France is analyzed in this paper through the lens of migration, a phenomenon that developed and grew during the establishment of the French Protectorate in Morocco.

The French policy aimed to maintain its security, build its economy, and safeguard its strategic interests.

From that perspective, the article presents a picture of the elements and parameters that created Moroccan emigration and of its patterns and the position of youth in its topology, whilst being careful not to overlook the historical and contemporary features of Moroccan emigration.
