The aim of this study was to identify the impact of Strategic Environmental Scanning on the total Organizational Effectiveness of the Jordanian Chemical Industries Companies.

Three dimensions of the Strategic Environmental Scanning were investigated; Internal Environment, External Environment, and Industry Environment.

Furthermore four dimensions of the organizational effectiveness were examined; Financial Performance, Customer Service, Internal Business Process, and Learning & Growth.

A field study was conducted to cover the population of (16) companies.

A questionnaire was conducted to obtain data.

The researcher distributed the questionnaire to five top and middle managers in each company.

(45) questionnaires were distributed, and (40) were received back.

Many statistical methods, like Coefficients Regression, were used in this study.

The study showed that the External Environment variable has the greatest impact on organizational effectiveness followed by industry environment, and finally internal environment.

Based on the study outcomes, the researcher presents some recommendations for the companies studied, and future researches.
