This investigation was carried in Hadjadj mahmoud farm (El-Menia) during 2008/2009 to study the effect of P sources [Single super phosphate (SSP) P 20 and Fosfactyl NP 3:22] and P levels (30, 60, 90 and 120 kg.ha-1) on wheat (Triticum durum Desf.

carioca).

The results obtained show that the SSP fertilizer yielded the best yields of grain, biomass and nitrogen contents of the aerial part, regardless of the stage of cultivation, end tillering stage, flowering and maturity compared to fosfactyl.

The optimal dose favorized the best grain yield, N content of the whole plant and grain at maturity.

Positive correlations were recorded between the dry matter produced at the maturity stage and the N-content of the leaves at the end tillering stages (0.558 ***) and flowering (0.546 **) on the one hand; and negative at maturity stage (-0.25“) on the other hand.
