الملخص الإنجليزي

The study aimed to determine the level of psychological security and psychological solidity of prisoners' wives who have high sentences in Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate and the impact of some demographic changes (age of wife, academic qualification, years of detention, number of children, wife's work) As well as the relationship between the sense of psychological security and psychological solidity.

The study sample consisted of (180) wives from Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate during the year (2016/2017).

The sample was chosen by means of the intentional sampling method.

The sample constituted 77.77% of the original community.

The results of the study showed that the overall degree of feeling of psychological security among prisoners' wives in Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate was medium.

The mean percentage of their responses was 59.6%, and the degree of psychological solidity was very high with 73.2%.

The results showed that there was a positive linear relation between psychological feelings as a whole among prisoners' wives and their psychological solidity as a whole, at a significance level of 0.000.

A positive linear relationship was also found between the areas of psychological security and the areas of psychological solidity.

The higher the degree of psychological security, the higher the degree of psychological solidity.

The results of the study indicated that there were statistically significant differences at the level of (α 00.05) in the mean of psychological security of prisoners' wives with high sentences according to the variables: age of wife, scientific qualification and wife's work, while no significant differences were found at the level of significance (α 00.05) in the mean of the psychological security of prisoners' wives with high sentences according to the variables of years of detention and the number of children.

There were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α 00.05) in the mean of the psychological solidity of wives of prisoners with high sentences according to the variables: age of wife, scientific qualification and wife's work, while there were no statistically significant differences at the level of α (α) 00.05) in the psychological solidity of wives of prisoners with high sentences depending on the variables: years of detention, number of children.
