Forestier's disease or diffuse idiopatic squeletal hysperostose (DISH) is a rare unknown etiology rheumatologic disease.
Often asymptomatic, it is diagnosed incidentally on plain radiographs.
We report the case of a 75-year-old patient who consults for dysphagia.
The oeso-gastro-duodenal transit showed a compression of the posterior wall of the cervical esophagus.
Cervical spine radiographs showed anterior osteophytosis.
Patient was operated via anterior approach of the cervical spine; resection of the osteophyte was performed.
Patient became much better.
There were not post operative complications.
الملخص FRE
La maladie de Forestier ou hyperostose ankylosante sénile rachidienne est une maladie rhumatologique rare d'étiologie inconnue.
Le plus souvent asymptomatique, elle est de découverte fortuite sur des radiographies standards.
Nous rapportons le cas d’un patient âgé de 75 ans qui consulte pour dysphagie.
Le Transit oesogastro- duodénal (TOGD) objectivait une compression de la paroi postérieure de l'oesophage cervical.
La radiographie standard du rachis cervical montrait une ostéophytose antérieure étagée.
Le patient a été opéré.
Une résection de l’ostéophyte a été réalisée via un abord antérieur du rachis cervical.
Les suites opératoires étaient simples.
