This article is devoted to main problems, characteristics, and way of thinking of Salafi movements in the Western countries, with a special focus on Europe.

In this regard, there will be done some evaluations on the methods used by the Salafi movements in the West in the understanding of Qur’an and the prophetic sayings (hadiths).

Also, there will be done some remarks on the possible resemblances between Salafism-Salafi way of thinking and some classical sects movements in the Islamic history, like the Zāhiris, Khawārij and radical Ahl al-hadith-khashawiyya.

The primary goals of many studies and projects regarding Salafi movement in the West and their relations with the orientalist and neo-orientalist purposes will be also evaluated in this context.
