This article entitled tries to analyze the effects of financial liberalization policies adopted by Algeria in the late 80s on the development of its financial system, to improve the efficiency of its financial system and wider choice of financing of the economy by strengthening the role of the banking system and the development and creation of new financing instrument.

This was done in a context of growing need of financial liberalization policies dictated by international financial institutions.

This analysis allowed to highlight Algeria’s efforts in the development of its financial system between 1986-2014, efforts that can be considered important but not sufficient to involve more fully the financial system in the country’s economic development.

الملخص FRE

Essaye d’analyser les effets des politiques de libéralisation financière adopté par l’Algérie dès la fin des années 80 sur le développement de son système financier, afin d’améliorer l’efficacité de son système financier et élargir le choix du financement de l’économie à travers le renforcement du rôle du système bancaire et par le développement et la création de nouveaux instrument de financement.

Cela s’est fait dans un contexte de plus en plus pressant des politiques de libéralisation financière dictées par les institutions financières internationales.

Cette analyse a permis de mettre en évidence les efforts de l’Algérie dans le développement de son système financier entre 1986-2014.

Des efforts qu’on peut considérer comme importants mais pas suffisants pour impliquer plus amplement le système financier dans le développement économique du pays.
