The results of the production competitions which the ministry of agricultural arranges yearly, found that there are differences in productivity between the winners and the other farmers.

These differences are important to focus on and to be investigated.

This is the target of this study.

A sample of 268 farmers was surveyed for the season of 2012 to capture the factors influence these differences.

The results showed that the higher the location of the farm, the lesser of the productivity gap between the winners and the other farmers.

Also, the more experience of the farmer, the lesser of the production gap.

in addition, as the tree age is getting bigger, the probability of the production gap gets smaller.

On the other hand, the results showed that the adoption of fertilization affects the diminishing of the gap.

Finally, the study found that the full time farmer has an ability to manage his apple crop better that the part time farmer, and so is capable to achieve better productivity
