This study aims to present one of the most important research projects in the field of scientific and technical information in Algeria, namely the national online documentation system.

The latter is created by the national center for studies and research in scientific and technical information.

His product is considered an essential element in the creation of the technological infrastructure to serve the higher education sector and the scientific research and hence the establishment of a knowledge society in Algeria.

This research presents an analysis of the experience of Algeria in the development of a knowledge society that manipulates the results of scientific research and a new economy based on knowledge.
