In order to compete and remain competitive, automakers are forced to reduce production costs and develop innovations.
Thus, production processes are carried out in several geographical locations offering the best operating conditions, and are in fact integrated into what is known as the global value chain.
In Algeria, the automotive industry is considered in the new industrial strategy as a branch to be promoted as a carrier of prospects.
To this end, our work questions the possibilities of integrating Algeria into the global car value chain.
In order to do this, our approach is based on the observation of the logic of behavior of automobile firms on the one hand, and the analysis of the Algerian potentialities in this branch on the other hand.
الملخص FRE
Afin d'affronter la concurrence et demeurer compétitifs, les constructeurs automobiles sont amenés à réduire les coûts de production et développer des innovations.
Ainsi les processus de production sont réalisés sur plusieurs lieux géographiques offrant les meilleures conditions d'exploitation grâce à une intégration dans la chaîne de valeur mondiale.
En Algérie, l'industrie automobile est considérée dans la nouvelle stratégie industrielle comme une branche à promouvoir.
A cet effet, notre travail s'interroge sur les possibilités d'insertion de l'Algérie dans la chaine de valeur automobile mondiale.
Pour se faire, notre démarche s'articule sur l'observation de la logique de comportement des firmes automobiles d'une part, et l'analyse des potentialités algériennes dans cette branche d'autre part.
