Researchers in Omani history face the problem of the shortage and scarcity of its historical sources.

Thus, their only alternative is to look for other supplementary sources, such as the Fiqhi corpus/ records which despite their fiqhi nature and topics, can be considered as rich records of many aspects of individuals' and communities' lives.

There is no doubt that they also reflect a lot about the intellectual and social issues in any community while at the same time come as a realistic expression of the nature of the Islamic society.

Abi il-Hawari collections represent a model of fiqhi record/corpus which started to appear since the second Hijri century and are considered the earliest forms.

Thus, they had been a major source for most subsequent fuqaha (jurisprudents) .

The Omani Fiqhi records/corpus become even more important when studying the economic activities as they contain a lot of details not only about the agricultural activities, products, and methods and ways of agriculture, but also about types of land property
