Anyone interested in the scientific legacy of Arabic and Islamic communities in the field of human and social sciences, especially sociology, finds it full of writings and scientific efforts.

But; most of the writings have the form of a western, deficient thought, which emerges from a culture that has nothing to do with the culture of the Algerian society.

From this point of view, this article came to show the most important functional obstacles that sociology suffers from in our society, and prevent it from doing its role in order to contribute to the development of society.

It can limit the most important functional constraints as follows: dependence on Western theory, problematic approach, and the problem of languages, the weakness of the trainers and the trainees, and the influence of politics on science.
