The current study aimed to identify the effect of emotional stability and gender on the social responsibility among al-Huson college students.

The study population consisted of 5430 students.

A sample of 401 students selected by the systematic random method.

The social responsibility and the emotional stability scales were developed and had verified it’s validity and reliability.

The results indicated that the students had a moderate social responsibility sense degree on the total scale degree except the family responsibility field, which was high.

There were significant differences in the total social responsibility degree due to gender for females’ advantage and on two fields: the family responsibility, and the friends and colleagues responsibility.

There were no significant differences due to gender on the two fields : the homeland responsibility, and the neighbourhood and residence place responsibility.

There were significant differences in thesocial responsibility degree due to the emotional stability level for the highemotional stability advantage.
