The study dealt with the Place names in the locality of Managel.

The approach is a new -bom branch of Geography which is expected to be multidisciplinary field of knowledge supported by Historical, Archeological, Anthropological linguistic investigating techniques nn addition to other sciences .Managel locality

During the stage of cultural isolation and self-sufficiency Agro-pastoral economy, the majority of names were related to the elements of natural and cultural systems as; flora, fauna, wato" resources, tribaVs, community leaders or founders and religious sheikhs.

When the Managel Irrigation Scheme was established in 1958 as om extension to Al Gazira Scheme, applying the same system, a new generatiom of place names emerged as response to the technological transformation and change in the quality of lives.
