The present study endeavors to highlight a main aspect of the specificities of the detective novel as one of the most types of marginal literature that has not been created yet.

This kind of literature was not also recognized by critical studies and was not classified among its concerns in teatching and criticism because it believes that all kinds of margial literature are characterized by artistic shortcomings, for it is an inferior and a popular literature, which does not represent the intellectual elite.

However, we think that every literary work is seen as a kind of literature owing to its distinguished and specific artistic aesthetics.

The modern detective novel would not have achieved its success if it had not been able to benefit from the form of the novel although , it was seen as an informal literature.

it attracted many readers who followed it with great interest and who inspected its details like a witty investigator
