Under the title “The Compatibility between Identity and Religion”, the Egyptian researcher Sabrine Zaghloul Al-Sayyed explores the issue of religious identity and its status in Western society where it occupies a central space in modern philosophy.
Zaghloul sheds light on an epistemological point which is still a matter of concern for intellectuals and sociologists in the modern West, and she strives to approach this problematic issue by discussing Emmanuel Levinas’s view on the complex compatibility between identity and religion.
This article also deals with analyzing and criticizing the most prominent ideas and viewpoints of Levinas.
الملخص FRE
Sous le titre "Symétrie de l'identité et de la religion", la chercheuse égyptienne Sabrine ZAGHLOUL El-SAYYED aborde la question de l'identité religieuse et sa place dans la société occidentale, qui a eu une grande part dans la philosophie moderne.
Cet article éclaire une région épistémologique qui demeure toujours la préoccupation principale des penseurs et sociologues de l'Occident contemporain.
Sabrine ZAGHLOUL aborde la problématique de l'identité religieuse en évoquant la théorie d'Emmanuel LEVINAS sur la symétrie complexe entre l'identité et la religion.
L'article évoque également les idées et les visions principales de LEVINAS d'une manière analytique et critique.
