Similar to various laws around the world, the Algerian legislator and, in addition to recognizing the right to privacy, and including it as an inherent right in the Constitution, he has guaranteed protection to this right through both criminal and procedural codes.

However, with the widespread use of computers, and the open nature of the Internet, the concept of privacy has taken a new dimension, expressed through confidentiality through information systems and the Internet as a new entourage of private life .So, the jurists wonder about the usefulness of removing the general provisions on the protection of the right to privacy and apply it to the digital privacy, or that we must create new texts who agree this new concept.
