Occupying a natural gas important position within the energy resources of the abundance of distinctive environmental characteristics due to the lack of solid and gaseous waste resulting from the combustion of one hand, and being fuel efficient to compensate for oil in most uses of private transport on the other hand, in addition to natural gas of the most important energy sources in the modern era because it contains thermal units higher than addition of oil and coal, and with the decline in the number of oil discoveries with the difficulty of relying on existing discoveries of the fact that most of the difficult production areas, there is a need to rely on natural gas, especially in light of the emergence of the exploitation of nonconventional resources, especially in the North American gas, and seek this study to illustrate its importance and its place among other energy resources after addressing the motives behind the increasing reliance upon, and in the latter will be the visibility of Algeria in the Arab and international gas industry
