The concept of intuition is one of the most complex concepts in the management field and many other fields of knowledge such as economic, social, psychological, human and behavioral sciences.

In spite of the many studies and fields that have been interested in research in these concepts through regular methods to obtain knowledge and try to clarify the rules governing them, and knowledge of the interrelations between them according to scientific method, has not yet reached to adjust and identify only some aspects of these concepts, the problem of strategic decision-making is still in constant evolution and a major challenge, especially with regard to the role intuition in strategic decision-making.

Herbert Simon and Henry Mintzberg are among the first to attempt to identify the relationship between these concepts and to address this problem.

Researchers, in general, are divided into two groups, a group espousing Simon's ideas and another group following Mintzberg's conclusions and research.

However, they generally agree on the importance and necessity of complementarily between rational approach and intuitive approach in strategic decision-making
