During the 2007 breeding season, the population of Yellow-legged Gull in the region of Jijel has experienced a growth of 4,06% from 1978.
The annual average increase ( ) observed is 1,02 for Grand Cavallo Island and 1,10 for Petit Cavallo Island.
The mean density of Yellow-legged Gull for one coastal kilometer is 18,4 pairs.
Nests installation of Yellow-legged Gull is early and staggered at the traditional nesting sites, namely Grand and Petit Cavallo Islands.
In contrast, it is quite late and synchronous at Grand Cavallo islet and the cliffs of Pointe Thamakrent.
Yellow-legged Gulls in the region of Jijel have a large growing population, including the colonization of new nesting sites.
الملخص FRE
En 2007, la population du Goéland leucophée de la région de Jijel a connu une croissance de 4,06% par rapport à l’année 1978.
Le taux moyen de multiplication annuel ( ) enregistre une valeur de 1,02 sur l’île Grand Cavallo et de 1,10 sur l’île Petit Cavallo.
La densité moyenne de Goéland leucophée pour un kilomètre de côte est de 18,4 couples.
La construction des nids du Goéland leucophée est précoce et étalée dans le temps au niveau des sites traditionnels de nidification, à savoir les îles Grand et Petit Cavallo.
Par contre, elle est tardive et assez synchrone sur l’îlot Grand Cavallo et les falaises de la Pointe Thamakrent.
Les Goélands leucophées de la région de Jijel connaissent un grand essor démographique, notamment par la colonisation de nouveaux sites de nidification
