No doubt that throughout history and across the world communities of diverse origins have own highly regarded and distinctive cultural traits.

Running towards the math from the Sudan to Egypt the Nile profoundly influenced the life of the people of the two neighboring countries.

In the opposite direction, the flow of printed books from the north to the south exemplifies the continuity of the cross-cultural interaction between the inhabitants of the Nile-volley.

This study aims ton shed light or the significant role of printed books in the spread of knowledge and enlightenment.

It attempts to give illusfrative examples to some books which have had for reaching positive effects on the trend of peaceful and constructive relations between Egypt and Sudan, particularly dewing the thirties and four ties of the 20*'^ century.

The research also tries to explore the ideas and points of view of some writers and scholar from the two courts vies regarding the development of bilateral cultural and otherwise relations.

In this respect the study benefited very much from the modern information technology and the relevant websites.

The study presents selected writing which indicate their fruitful contributions on the subject.
