The art of ceramics is one of the ancient arts that served as a link between ancient peoples based on their influence, like the rest of the arts at various levels in terms of aesthetic appearance or themes, and then the nature of the language offered and the network of relationships and separations through which it can analyze the nature of this art and the centers controlling it.

The phenomenon of research in the artistic expression in the works of art is important to be studied, the research tries to come out of the law that controls the embodiment of the concepts mentioned and presented in a formality, and then can determine the paths of Iraqi ceramics and identity.

The research was structured in a systematic way to: The first chapter (the methodological framework) in which the problem of research, importance, purpose, limits and terminology.

As for the second chapter, which is represented in the theoretical framework and the previous studies, the theoretical framework included the dominant factors in the generation of the expression and divided into four main axes: self and objectivity, the work of art in its composition, the receiver.

The fourth axis is devoted to expression in the plastic art and then access to the most important indicators that resulted from the theoretical framework.

The third chapter included the research procedures of the research society ,The researcher chose from his research community, which consists of (36) ceramic work samples of (5) models and adopting analytical descriptive approach in analyzing them.

The fourth chapter includes a presentation of the most important findings of the researcher, the most important of which is the diversity of artistic expression methods and the dependence of each pottery on certain elements in its generation.

The researcher recommended to pay attention to expressive values and try to show them in the ceramic works and suggested a comparative study on the artistic expression of the ceramic sculptures in Iraq and Egypt.
