Crime is a spatial phenomenon, therefore it is a geographicalbehavioural activity .

hence it is related to the environmental, economical, social, cultural and political spatial organization Social relevance to geographical inquiry was developed during the 1960s when the new message of geography was directed towards socio- spatial problems of society beyond the previous traditional descriptive concepts.

Therefore, geography of crime has developed immensely because crime as a complex phenomenon , multi-dementional facet and social – human behavior, it usually occurs in space , and hence, it requires spatial analysis associated with an interdisciplinary approach beside sociology, psychology, law and criminology .

Spatial analysis as the backbone of geographical studies, reveals the spatial dimensions of crime (its movement and change, hierarchies, networks, distance decay, diffusion, gravity).The geographic perspective of crime is best traced through paradigm of studies and theories of urban and social geography, because these two branches of human geography represent the relation between various societal activities, similar to the first crime commited, in man's history, by Qabeel.
