After the 1990 the international system has become closer to unipolarity represented by the United States of America .This in turn has led to the unilateralism of the USA to lead the world, taking advantage of its multiple elements of power and adopting at the same time to a new political policy, that is the American hegemony.

This new policy, which was based on the use of force, was not successful.

It led to failed and unacceptable result in many international issues.

The concept of hegemony enticed the United States to intervene in the affairs of many countries across the world .Moreover ,it made it an occupying power just like what happened in Afghanistan 2001 as well as Iraq 2003.The policy has also failed to achieve tangible and successful results in intervening in other issues such as the Palestinian- Israeli conflict, and the Iranian nuclear file.

As opposed to the policy of hegemony, the continuing intervention in the matters of other countries and search for its interest wherever it exists; there have been a number of challenges from countries which are considered to be powerful and to have an influence in their geographic proximity.

These countries try to distance the USA, in various ways, from the Middle East and other areas which are vital to them.
