The name of the city is blended in the contemporary Arabic poetry with what the poet suffers from injustice, abuse and loss; the reference to the city has been mentioned to forsake her and get rid of all restrictions surrounding it.

Because the contemporary poet encounters alienation and loss and he refutes his love for her, he was obliged to declare his challenge and endeavors to achieve the beautiful sunrise in the countryside whose desire grows towards it whenever he feels lost.

He consoles himself only in calling its name.

This article is an attempt to question the reality and the standpoint of one of contemporary Arab poets, Blnd El-Heidari, vis-à-vis the city, whose poetry vacillate between acceptance and rejection, and adoption and rupture by his readers
