There have been as many contemporary readings of the as there are various levels of thought and cultural reference of each modern thinker or project in an attempt to find an adequate reading.

This encourages it to present a different reading of the Quranic text making of it a linguistic text and a producer of culture which respond to the mechanisms of deconstruction and interpretation.

Based on this, the study attempts to delve into the heritage from the perspective of Nasr Abu Zaid and to what extent his reading has been able to question the heritage? And to what extent the heritage has become a powerful authority that urges us to dwell in the past and forget the present? Or does it become, on the light of the modern reading, a means to justify the hypotheses and the methodological procedures? This means that it will become an ideology.

How can we get rid of the authority of the ready-made which comes to the texts loaded with answers that increase the heritage’s death? How can approach the heritage, especially the religious heritage/the Quranic text- as it represents the culture of the nation since it is a culture of the text, that is a reading/understanding/interpretation so as to achieve an Islamic modern reading which depends on the heritage without yielding to its authority and to accept the Western readymade premise without being fascinated by magic; in other words, we should avoid both the power of religious fundamentalism and the Western modern fundamentalism
