In this study, the researcher applies the method of spatial modelling provided by geographical techniques like RS and GIS in the field of water harvesting in the Arar valley basin west of Iraq.

The researcher follows the digital analysis including the geological, topological, climatic, and hydrological measures of soil according to the classification of soil reformation committee associated with Agriculture Administration in the United States of America (SCS) according to the rate of water movement velocity or its seep into soil or according to the distinction among levels of water seep into soil.

Types have been identified relying on soil texture and the rates of water seep into it followed by earth surface.

Formulas and spatial models have been applied especially (CN) method which made easy the identification of suitable places for building dams and water storage to save time, efforts, and costs.
