In view of the results of previous researches, which explained the impact of social network sites and programs on the family in many aspects,so it is necessary to identify family`s role in limitting the effect of social network use on social relations Through the main question in the study: «What is the role of the family in limiting the impact of the use of social media on family relations?» It includes several sub-queries (represented in the most influential social networking sites and programs, the role of the family, the obstacles facing the family and the proposals that come out) This study of descriptive studies used the researcher social survey method The study applied to a number of Saudi parents residing in Riyadh on the random sample of multiple stages by 300 families.
