The purpose of this paper is to approach the imaginative narrative and the image of the other in the travel of Abu Hamid Al-Gharnati “Tuhfat Al-Albab wa Nukhbat Al-Ijab”; it is a travel that reported us a great part from the History and the Geography of peoples; also it has been relied considerably on foreign and strange parameters.

The original travelling text “Tuhfat Al-Albab wa Nukhbat Al-Ijab” reflects the positive civilisation correlation with the other according to a narrative structure based on a great absorption of systems (the legendary, the ideological, the linguistic and the anthropological).

That is what leads us to approach: 1.

Sills of the travelling text and the construction of the nnarrative imagined (the title, the narrative initiation ) 2.
