The social work profession is mainstay in the evolution of human societies, which play an important role in the advancement of human society by solving social problems.

It is one of the professions that aims to help people to carry out their duties and functions better.

It is allocated in many areas, including school field, medical field, the field of child care, family area, field work with women and others.

Here we talk about social work in the field of juvenile delinquency.

This is the most important areas of the practice of social work in order to achieve better social life for them and work to satisfy their needs and treat their problems.

The Sultanate of Oman has paid great attention to the field of care for juvenile delinquents where the law of the accountability of juveniles issued by the Royal Decree (302008/), which contained several aspects designed to repair and calendar of juveniles in conflict with law and the establishment of various institutions that provide various social services that help to modify and evaluate their behavior and provide all types of care and support to them in order to return them to be good citizens in the community again.

Based on the above, this study seeks to identify the role of the social work profession in the field of juvenile delinquency in the Sultanate of Oman and identify the difficulties faced by a specialist in dealing with juvenile offenders in an attempt to reach the proposed perception of the role of social worker in this area.

The study will be based on the qualitative approach, through open interviews with social workers working in the field of juvenile delinquency at the Ministry of Social Development in Oman
