International protection of human rights is essentially a set of measures taken by international bodies that take these rights as the object of their activity, or the activities، pressures or practices of States towards one another, on the grounds of the protection of human rights.

The present study attempted to identify the features and impediments to the international protection of human rights in the United Arab Emirates.

The study shows that the UAE regards human rights as a top priority in accordance with international human rights standards and is committed to continuous improvements in its laws and practices, all of which derive from the UAE`s cultural heritage and religious values that enshrine the principles of justice, equality and tolerance.

The UAE`s record in the field of human rights promotion and protection is characterized by tangible national achievements, strong commitment and positive interaction with international practices.

The achievements culminated in the adoption by the International Human Rights Council at its meeting on June 7- 2013 at its headquarters in Geneva.

Which was widely praised by participants in the session for the State`s response to and efforts to implement the recommendations of the Council and its positive interaction with global practices.
