The opportunities of communication provided by social media networking, especially in the light of the increasing number of users worldwide and the daily increase in those users number, as well as the speed of communication, all of that might make it a golden opportunity for charities, especially since the cost of communication is low, which would make it easy for associations to spread their voice to millions of community members without spending enormous amount of money.

Therefore, social networking is a necessity for any charity that wants to raise funds and increase awareness of their supporters.

This should be an essential component of communication strategies across the third sector.
